RW 12 of Griya Bandung Indah Officially Launches Reading Corner Program
Buahbatu Village – RW 12 of the Griya Bandung Indah Housing Complex, Buahbatu Village, officially launched its Reading Corner (Pojok Baca) program on Sunday, January 18, 2026. The program aims to foster a culture of literacy within the community, particularly among children and young people.
The launch event was attended by the Head of Buahbatu Village, Asep Sobari, the Buahbatu Village Literacy Ambassador, Nunuy Nurhayati, S.Pd, along with RW administrators and members of the village literacy team. Their presence reflected strong synergy among stakeholders in supporting the strengthening of the village literacy movement.
In his remarks, Village Head Asep Sobari expressed his hope that the Reading Corner would become an educational space that provides sustainable benefits for the community.
“This Reading Corner is expected to serve as a beneficial and sustainable learning space for the community, especially for children. Literacy is an important foundation in building an intelligent and competitive generation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Buahbatu Village Literacy Ambassador Nunuy Nurhayati emphasized the importance of cultivating reading habits starting from the smallest community units.
“Through the RW 12 Reading Corner, we hope that a reading culture can grow from the grassroots level, so that literacy becomes a habit that strengthens character and broadens the community’s insight,” she stated.
The launch of the RW 12 Reading Corner was marked by a symbolic inauguration by the Head of Buahbatu Village as a sign of the village government’s full support for strengthening community literacy. The program is expected to become an inclusive learning facility and contribute to improving the quality of human resources in RW 12 of the Griya Bandung Indah Housing Complex.
