Cimahi City Government Expands 2026 Property Tax Discounts, Targets Higher Revenue

Cimahi – The Cimahi City Government has rolled out a new strategy to optimize Land and Building Tax (PBB) revenue in 2026 by expanding its discount scheme to double the scope of the previous year. The policy follows the successful realization of PBB revenue in 2025, which exceeded the set target.

Building on this achievement, the Cimahi City Government has set a higher PBB revenue target for 2026 while encouraging greater public participation by urging taxpayers to settle their obligations early in the year.

The Cimahi City Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) recorded PBB revenue realization of Rp67.73 billion in 2025, surpassing the target of Rp58.9 billion. This achievement highlights the strong potential contribution of the community to local revenue.

As a follow-up, the city government has expanded PBB incentives for 2026. While in 2025 a 100 percent discount was granted only for PBB bills of up to Rp50,000, in 2026 the threshold has been raised to Rp100,000. Under this policy, certain taxpayers may be eligible for full exemption from PBB payments.

Despite ongoing budget efficiency measures, taxation remains positioned as the backbone of regional development financing. PBB serves not only as a source of revenue but also as a crucial instrument in supporting infrastructure development and improving the quality of public services across various sectors.

Through the optimization of PBB revenue, the Cimahi City Government reaffirmed its commitment to continuously increasing locally generated revenue (PAD) to support sustainable development.

In addition to expanding the incentive scheme, Bappenda Cimahi has also made PBB payments more accessible through various payment channels. Early trends for 2026 PBB payments have already been observed, driven by intensive public outreach via social media, the installation of banners and posters, the distribution of circular letters to sub-district offices, and collaboration with local administrative units.

With these measures in place, the Cimahi City Government hopes that PBB revenue realization in 2026 will surpass the previous year’s results while also enhancing public awareness and compliance in fulfilling tax obligations.
