Young Man Dies in Bojongsoang Assault, Suspect Arrested Within Two Hours

Bojongsoang, Bandung – A young man, identified as DSH (25), died following an assault in Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency. Police authorities apprehended the suspect just two hours after the victim was declared deceased.

The suspect, GK (29), was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Bojongsoang Police, Polresta Bandung, on the night of Saturday, 17 January 2026, at his residence in Kampung Margalaksana. The arrest was carried out without resistance.

The incident occurred on Friday, 16 January 2026, around 19:00 WIB in Kampung Cibisoro, Bojongsari Village, Bojongsoang District. The victim was reportedly subjected to severe physical violence without the use of weapons.

According to official police statements, the suspect repeatedly struck the victim until he fell and became incapacitated. The violence ceased only after witnesses intervened at the scene.

The case is currently under further investigation by local authorities, including examination of the motive and collection of evidence related to the fatal assault.
