Raffi Ahmad Visits Cisarua Landslide Victims to Deliver President Prabowo’s Message

WEST BANDUNG — The government continues to demonstrate its firm commitment to handling the landslide disaster that struck Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency. The Special Envoy to the President for Youth Development and Creative Workers, Raffi Ahmad, fulfilled his promise by visiting the affected victims on Saturday (January 31, 2026). This visit serves as a form of direct attention from the central government while providing moral support to residents still staying in evacuation shelters.

Accompanied by Nagita Slavina, Raffi Ahmad visited the evacuation post at the Pasirlangu Village Sports Center (GOR) to engage in dialogue with the survivors. In addition to listening to the residents’ concerns, Raffi took the time to entertain the children at the shelter and personally inspected the landslide site to witness the extent of the infrastructure damage.

During the meeting, Raffi carried a special mandate to convey deep empathy and condolences from President Prabowo Subianto to the entire affected community. “The President expresses his deepest condolences. The government is here and asks the community to remain strong and spirited in facing this trial,” Raffi stated during his address.

Raffi explained that coordination with the Regent of West Bandung had actually been initiated since the onset of the disaster, even though he was performing the Umrah pilgrimage at the time. After returning to Indonesia and visiting disaster sites in Sumatra, he immediately headed to West Bandung to ensure effective handling. He emphasized that the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and solidarity are the primary keys to successfully navigating the post-disaster recovery process.

Furthermore, he guaranteed a full commitment between the central and regional governments during this emergency response period. Following the President’s instructions, all government elements, including relevant ministries and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), have been ordered to move swiftly to provide temporary housing and accelerate infrastructure repairs. The West Bandung Regency Government expressed its appreciation for this synergy, which is expected to help the community recover and return to their normal activities more quickly.
